Funny January Conversations

Some of our household conversations have cracked me/us up this month! I want them ingrained in my brain for ever!

Angelina: Are you home? (she asks me this to make sure I'm not going to work.)
Me: Yes, I'm home. Are you home?
Angelina: Yes!
I'm waiting for the day when she says no, or that she is going to work!!! :)


Lester: Mom, did you really marry dad?
Me: No. We are not married.
Lester: Than why did you guys have kids??????
WOW, I sure was not ready for that one!!! This kid is way beyond his years!!!!


Me: Bye-bye, I have to go to work. I'll be home later.
All 3 kids: Are you going to bring dinner and PIE!!!!!
We/they have turned into pie junkies this month......it is soooooo not a good thing!!!! Coconut cream, Banana cream, Raspberry cream swirl, Peach, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Pumpkin. Yes, all of these just in the last month!!!! Sometimes with ice cream, sometimes with whip cream, and sometimes with both! Joe and Angelina have their 'pie club', and Lester, Valentina, and I have our 'pie club'. It is a nightly ritual. Yikes, no wonder my pants are feeling a little tight! ;) Oh well, they are only young once. I'm sure they won't want to have pie club with us 10 years from now. Just soaking up the young love from our munchkins right now!


Let me preface this next one with, the girls are really into learning their colors. They ask, "What color is this?" about EVERYTHING. But now that they actually know their colors they ask it but they really want you to ask back, "I don't know, what color is it?" so they can tell you the answer.
Daddy: Valentina, what color is your brain?
Valentina: Green!!!!
Daddy: Yea! Good job!
Lester was quite perplexed by Joe's 'good job' reaction, and said, "It's not green, it's pink!" After some explaining he now understands Joe's sarcasm!!!!
A week later......
Daddy: Valentina, what color is your brain?
Valentina: I doe know. I HAVE NO BRAIN!!!!!!!
Daddy: Yea! Good job!
