Wealthy

Lester: (in an urgent tone of voice) Mom, I need to have wealth. How do I become wealth quickly????

Me: Well, first of all, you don't become wealth, you become wealthy..... and second of all, if it was easy to become wealthy then everybody would be wealthy.

Lester: So how do I become wealthy?

Me: You have to study hard and work really hard and MAYBE someday you will be wealthy.

Lester: Well, maybe I can do some work for you and save my money and then I will be wealthy. How about I do the dishes for you?

Me: (laughing) Oh, I would love that, but doing dishes isn't going to get you wealthy. Why do you need to become wealthy?

Lester: So I can buy myself wooden train sets.

This stems from the day out with Thomas that we went to. He has been wanting to get wooden trains now because that was all they had for sale at the event and they handed out a booklet of all the wooden trains and accessories. We have made it clear to Lester that we have spent A LOT of money on the trains he does have and that we are not going to start buying him wooden ones, especially because they are even more expensive. So now he is determined to make a lot of money so he can buy them himself.
