So I tried this for a second year in a row now....I don't know what I was thinking!!!!
On Thanksgiving morning, after Lester hopped into bed with us to snuggle, I tried to explain to him what 'giving thanks' is all about. So I started by saying, "Today is a day when we give thanks for all of the things we are thankful for in our lives." So I started....
Me: Mommy is thankful for Lester, Mommy is thankful for Daddy, and Mommy is thankful for Valentina and Angelina being in her life.
Joe: Daddy is thankful for pepsi and turtles! (this being after he sold most of his baby turtle hatchlings at the reptile show a couple weeks ago!)
Lester: .......complete silence!
Not one thing could he come up with that he was thankful for!!!! What kind of kid are we raising here!!!! :) Well, at least he didn't say last year's answer again which was 'presents'!
Oh well, maybe I will get through to them next year! ;)
