My little helper!

This summer has been extremely busy for Jungle Jill! I have had more schools, libraries, and summer camp programs scheduled than birthday parties. Don't get me wrong, it is very good, just busy. So due to these programs being during the week, I have to have a sitter lined up for Lester while I am away. There have been a couple instances where Lester has had to come with me at the spur of the moment, and it has been a lot of fun! It happens more often than not now, now that I know he does well with it! He is my little helper! He even has a 'uniform' to wear so he looks official like Jungle Jill! (see above picture) Grandma Corky made it and it says...."My mom is Jungle Jill" on the back and it has lots of animals on it like my shirts do. I think he actually likes to come with me. When I tell him he is going to come with Mommy to work, he says, "Help with animals and go to school?" with a wide eyed expression! He doesn't usually sit too long and listen since all of the animals are his pets and he sees them everyday, BUT he likes to sit down and be a "big kid"! He is getting better at 'helping' with the animals too. It used to be 'helping' meant making a bigger mess than anything, but now he can actually bring me things and carry kennels, so it's great! I think it's good for him to see other environments and kids in a school setting too! So for now, it's Jungle Jill and her assistant!
