Lester has been as active as usual these days, however, a few new things have now become the center of his attention. The first of these new things is his slowly being built playhouse, "fort". We started this project a few weeks ago and it is coming along slowly but surly. He loves to help Daddy with the construction!
This was the building of the floor boards, which took place on the kitchen floor due to it being 100+ degrees at 10am in the morning. Then the frame was moved outside once the holes were dug for the poles and the poles were cemented into place.
As soon as the boards where brought into the house Lester had to get his tool box out and start measuring things like he sees Daddy do all the time! He had fun helping with all of the hole drilling that took place after he was done being afraid of the noise of the drill.
This was Lester getting his first taste of the playhouse. That day he kept asking, "Playhouse done, Mama?" So I think he thought it was going to be a quick project! Here we are a few weeks later and the playhouse is still chugging along. It is difficult to work on it with it being so hot, and with Mommy being gone at Jungle Jill's when Daddy is home wanting to work on it. The floor is now mounted at 6ft high, so slightly higher than in this picture, and the porch is added on now too. So one of these days I will have to post the completed thing! (Warning, it may be months from now!) But for now Lester likes to go to Home Depot with Daddy to get supplies for the fort and pretend like he is building with his tools!
On the other hand, Lester has also found a good indoor pass time! We broke out his train tracks that he got last Christmas and they have become a big favorite! He has always liked Thomas, but not like this! Mommy and Lester started out with them on the dinning room table that is NEVER used. Then when Daddy got home they got moved to the kitchen floor because the table wasn't 'big enough'. Then the next day more track and more trains where purchased in a spur of the moment Walmart trip.

This is the "bigger & better" track engineered by Daddy after more track was bought. It changes on a daily basis! I'm not sure who is having more fun with it, Lester.....or Daddy! But it is now a week later and I still have train town all over my kitchen! At least it keeps us busy indoors!

I love seeing your pictures! I can't wait to see the progress of the play house. We miss you guys so much! (I miss the free time I had too!) I feel like I have been in volleyball fall camp with double days, secluded away from the real world. Once I get a hang of this teacher thing than I will be able to visit more.
