We have had a few really good friends move over the last few months and I think Lester is really starting to figure out what moving means. I think he understood at the time that they were going to be really far away, but I think he is really getting it, that we WON'T be able to see them, that they are states and states away.
A few conversations that the concept is setting in....
This was while we were driving in the car yesterday.
L: So how will we find Jonah's house in Texas?
Me: Well, I don't think we are going to find Jonah's house in Texas, it is really far away and we won't be able to go over there and play.
L: No, I mean, IF we were going to Jonah's house, how would we know which house was his?
Me: Well, Becky would probably tell us where they live and how to get there.
L: Or we could just knock on the doors and see if Jonah was there!
Then I started to explain to him about addresses and that's how we could find their house without having to knock on all the doors in Texas!
LOL....as if there is only one little neighborhood in Texas!!!! So cute!!! ;)
Then today, he was drawing a picture and I asked him to tell me about it.
L: This is Becky pushing Jonah on a swing and then this is his little sister Gracie!
Me: Very nice, I like that. What made you want to draw that?
L: Well sometimes my friends are really far away, and when I am missing them I can just draw a picture of them.
My insides just melted at this point.......
Me: That is very true, and it's fun to send them letters in the mail too!
L: Yea, and sometimes my friends are far away and sometimes they are near....J.T. is near, and Jonah is far.
I think he realized yesterday with being at the Space Center with some of his buddies, that one of them was NOT there. :(
We still miss you Wilsford's!

Oh. I'm just missing you guys so much right now! Jonah decided/imagined that Lester and Austin would find moving trucks in front of their houses, pack up, and move to TX too.
