We had Lester's 3rd birthday party over the weekend, again for the 3rd year in a row at the White Tank Mountain Regional Park and it was a success!!!!! We are always very last minute and late in getting everything ready, but all in all everything turned out great! Lester had such a great time!

Joe did the usual grilling of all the food, and it was fantastic! He slaves every year over the hot grill, but loves to do it! He wouldn't have it any other way! It was a beautiful day and a perfect evening for the party as the sun set behind the mountains.

This is one of my favorite picutres from the evening of Lester and his best friend Jonah cheering about the Thomas cake! All the kids had a great time playing in the dirt with all the trucks and shovels and buckets, and of course eating cake!

Lester's Thomas the Train cake turned out great and was a collaborative family effort. Lester helped me bake the cakes on Friday, as you see here, licking the beaters after mixing the cake batter! Then Joe helped shape the cakes Saturday morning to make the perfect Thomas engine shape since he is more artistic than me. And lastly, Mommy frosted it an hour before the party!!!! When Lester woke from his nap, ready to go to the party, he couldn't believe how it really looked like Thomas!

To say the least he LOVED it!

So all of our hard work payed off and it was a fun day Lester will remember for a long time to come! Thank you to everyone that was there to share it with us and make it a very special day!
