Fire Station Tour

Last week we had the chance to have a tour of the Surprise Fire Station with our MOMS Club playgroup. Lester was very excited! But once we got there he was a little nervous, he just wanted to stay close to me and hold my hand. But then he started to warm up a little. He actually let the firefighter put him on the truck with all the other kids!

And he liked the fire hats they handed out at the end. Lester was wearing his backwards like it was a baseball cap (on the far right)! Standing next to his best friend Jonah, always makes things a little more fun and less scary!

Posing outside the fire station, of course next to Jonah, who got him to turn his hat around the right way!

This was when one of the fire fighters put his suit on and crawled real close to the kids so they could see that they are not scary with their uniforms on. Lester wasn't too sure about that!

Lester showing off his cool new hat! When we got home that day he put it on, his tool safety goggles on, and his snow boots and said, "Now I'm a real fighter fighter!" It was pretty funny!

This is a close up of Lester and Jonah when Lester had his hat on backwards! A good time was had by all!

Jonah would like to say that he, "likes Lester and his hat looks silly" (in a good, funny way that only 3 year old boys understand).

I hope Lester knows that his name sake, Great Grandpa Lester Howe, was a fireman for many, many years in Glencoe, MN, when Grandma corky was a little girl. He would have loved to tell Lester stories about all the real huge fires he helped put out. love Grandma Corky
