Busy Weekend

Lester and I visited the zoo on Friday and for the very first time ever he asked, "Momma, can we go way up high in the sky?" pointing up as we were walking under the skyride. So since being an 'employee' has its perks we were able to get on for free and Lester had his first skyride! His eyes got real big as soon as we were seated and he looked at me and said, "We are going up!" I said, "Yup, we are going up into the trees!" and he just giggled as he continued to look around in amazement. He did really well sitting still for the 15 minute ride, he pointed at all the animals and people and the mountains in the distance. It was fun, I haven't been up there for years! Let's just hope he doesn't expect it to happen EVERY time we go now!
On Saturday, mommy didn't have any Jungle Jill's, for the first time in awhile, so we decided to do some cooking. This was after Daddy brought Lester in from the backyard where he had been 'cooking dinner' with my old pots and pans and mud water and rocks!!!! He said he was "mixin!" So we busted out some cookies and did some mixing in the REAL kitchen!
Lester liked putting the dough on the cookie sheet!

But I think more was going in his mouth than on the sheet!

This was before they went in the oven but they sure were yummy right out of the oven with a big glass of milk!
On Sunday, Grandma Liz came over for her weekly visit and brought with her some of the pumpkin seeds she had started. So Daddy set up a spot where my old garden used to be so Lester could plant his very own pumpkins.

Lester was so excited, he loved getting to help scoop all the dirt!

(this was supposed to be the last picture, I'm not sure how it ended up here!)
And this was the final product.
Lester said, "I'm going to have my very own pumpkin patch!" He was so proud! I just hope nothing happens to them! Eekk!

But he couldn't wait to pour in the water!

Next came more dirt, and then the plants that required some help from Daddy so they wouldn't be too man handled!
(insert final picture here of Lester pointing to his hard work!)
And that was our weekend in a nut shell!
