So since my last post, almost 3 months ago now, we have had some major changes in our family! We knew we were expecting, but not in our wildest dreams did we ever think we would get the news we got at our first OB appointment. "There are 2 babies in there!" were the words right out of the sonographer's mouth, about 10 seconds into the first ultrasound. She didn't sugar coat it or anything! Joe and I were in shock, disbelief, amazement, denial, all at the same time. It's really not what you expect to hear. I immediately began crying and laughing all at the same time and Joe began trying to explain to Lester that there are 2 babies in mommies tummy! What a day!!! It is one I/we will never forget!
Immediately they designate the babies, Baby A and Baby B, so they can monitor everything for each one individually as well as compare them against each other throughout the rest of the pregnancy.
So that is the latest and biggest news with our family! Needless to say, I feel like our lives have gotten a little bit crazy just since we found out about the twins, I can't even begin to imagine the chaos that will follow their births!!!!! God only gives you what you can handle.....right????!!!!!
As for other updates, progress resumed on the playhouse for a little while and it is actually starting to look like a house!
We were also busy with grandpa & grandma coming for a visit at the beginning of February. Lester had so much fun with them here and all the presents they came with. He kept saying to grandpa their entire visit, "Let's go look in your suitcase!" thinking more presents would some how magically appear! I am also pretty sure that Lester is convinced that grandma and grandpa have their very own plane since we picked them up and dropped them off at the airport!
We of course had to show them the new aquarium at the zoo while they were here. And they even rode the Flume Ride, probably only because we could get them on for free!!! "They got soaked!" as Lester and grandma like to put it!
But the biggest project while they were here was priming Lester's new 'big boy' room. We are transforming our guest/computer room into a new room for him, while the twins will get his old room with the sealife theme. He thought it was the greatest getting to use the big roller brush! Now we just need to agree on a theme for his room, when asked his two cents about it, Lester just says, "Lellow!" So we'll have to see what we come up with and some how work yellow into it!
Well now that I have finally come across my USB cord for my camera, after the transfer of all the computer stuff it got lost in the shuffle, I can upload pictures again, and maybe I can keep this blog a little more up to date for those of you we rarely see! Don't hold your breath on that!!!!!!!!!!
