23 Month Toddler Slang

WOW, I can't believe the girly girls are going to be 2 in less than a month! This is my last under 2 years of age Toddler Slang post....sniff, sniff!

Here are a few of my current favorite words/sayings from the girls.

goss - gross (both) - taught to them by Daddy for when poopy diapers are changed!

iss-ussing - disgusting (both) - Mommy's word for when poopy diapers are changed!

pee-gake - oh, for Pete sake (both) - this is one of Mommy's all time sayings so the girls have caught on!

ba-ba-bye - butterfly (both)

da-doo - water (both) - it took FOREVER to get the girls to actually SAY this word. It was one of their first signs that they learned so even once they started talking we would ask them to say "water" and they would just do the sign. I think it was so ingrained and such an important, meaningful sign to them, that they didn't put it together to actually say the word. The sign is still to this day coupled with the word when they say it.

ang-gnaw - kangaroo (Angelina) - one day she kept saying this over and over again before going down for nap time and I couldn't figure out what she was saying and wanting. Then Valentina went across the room and rummaged around in the stuffed animals and came up with a kangaroo toy that Angelina likes...duh, Valentina knew exactly what she was wanting and now so do I!

opocus - octopus (Angelina) - she is actually wearing her octopus shirt in the video below!

And here is fun video of them sitting together reading books, they LOVE books! I love the toddler gibber jabber!
