Crash Turns 1!!!!

We do not have an exact birth date for Lester's dog Crash, so we decided to designate a day as close to when we think it may have been so we could celebrate.....Lester LOVES birthdays!

So yesterday, January 3rd is now Crash's birthday! Lester was thrilled with the idea of having a party for him and immediately began thinking of preparations for the celebration. He made a card, wrapped a present, we hung balloons, and found a recipe for making a dog cake! Once Daddy was home from work the cake making began! Lester cracking the eggs!

Pouring the batter into the pan....Lester didn't want to help with this! He was a little sicked out by the smell of it because we used chicken and beef baby food that smells horrible, he was actually gagging from the smell of it and wouldn't even get close to it! :)

After the cake went in the oven, the big dogs got to taste test the batter to see if it was any good!

And Crash cleaning up the bowl! I would say the consensus is......YUMMY!

Then came the cake cutting and shaping.

Then the frosting, Lester was taking this very seriously as you can see!

(notice Chico off to the side with his mouth watering!!!! ;) All of the dogs did get a piece of the cake after the celebration!)

And for those of you wondering, Crash was 75lbs at his last weigh in about a month ago and may still get a little bigger! But he has been a perfect fit for Lester, they are like 2 peas in a pod!
