Busy, busy, busy

One goal of 2010 for the Atkinson kids.....keep busy! And they are definitely living up to that goal!

Angelina has started crawling!!!!! There is no stopping this girl, she gets this look and she just goes and gets what she wants. Lester is realizing what this means for his toys....most importantly his trains! His favorite saying of the week, "Not for babies!" in a high pitched voice as he takes all of his belongings back from the two girls! Valentina is neck and neck with Angelina, she has got the backwards scoot down to a pat and frequently finds herself stuck with her legs lodged under things. I'm in trouble now!The girls have also out grown the infant tub now so we have been utilizing this cute blow up rubber ducky tub. Ideally, probably made for one baby, but I tell you, it is much easier to have them both crammed into here than trying to hold onto 2 slippery babies at one time in the big bath tub. And besides they love it...they can steal each other's toys, squirt each other in the face as they bite on the squirty tub toys, splash each other, kick each other, and bite each other's wiggling toes in the water because it hurts to bite your own when you now have two teeth each! Sounds like fun, right?! No, they really do like bath time, it just gets a little hectic sometimes!

We also finished making Lester's gingerbread house just after the new year! It took over a week of hard work and hours of concentration each evening to complete and all Lester keeps talking about is EATING IT!!!!!! I think we have FINALLY convinced him that he put so much time and effort into it that we should keep it as a Christmas decoration so we can get it out and admire it every year!

A close up view.

Note the little gingerbread boy and girl in the front yard that we made for fun when we were baking our actual gingerbread men Christmas cookies, which are always Lester's absolute favorites.

Lester also has his own desk now and he 'goes to work' every day! He is really enjoying it! We have actually been managing to find time to do 'school' pretty much every day as well, and Lester is chugging right along! He just loves learning! He was very proud when he wrote this on his chalk board the other day all by himself! For those of you that don't have little ones and can't figure out what it says.....it says
P O O H
....as in Winnie the Pooh!
